ZO’S HOOP-LAW MADNESS
Zo’s Hoop Law Madness is a fundraising event designed to provide an opportunity for South Florida Law Firms to unite with corporate sponsors, business leaders and others in the community to make a difference in the lives of our children. Last year, we had 24 South Florida law firms participate!
33 THANKSGIVINGS
The Mourning Family Foundation provides over 500 families of the Overtown Youth Center and Honey Shine with a full Thanksgiving meal. With the help of FedEx, Alonzo surprises 10 families by personally delivering their meals on Thanksgiving Day.
HOLIDAY PARTY
The Mourning Family Foundation hosts a holiday party at Gulfstream Park each year where students and staff enjoy themselves as they partake in food and fun. At the Holiday Party, OYC provides gifts for every one of its students, made possible through donations.
OYC THEATER
Each year, OYC students and staff prepare for a full theatrical, broadway-style production during the center’s six-week summer program. In addition to learning scripts and choreography, students help design the set, inclusive of props and the stage backdrop.
