For more than 26 years, Neat Stuff served more than 6,000 children annually by connecting children and the their advocates to a variety of sponsors and donors who provided new clothing, accessories, school items, toys and special assistance at no charge to agencies or families.
In 2018, OYC assumed the role of revitalizing and expanding the impact of Neat Stuff while continuing the operation as a non-profit store and distribution center in Miami. The addition of Neat Stuff allows OYC to broaden community influence by adding a new component to the holistic OYC community-based service model.
Neat Stuff Powered by OYC has the uniquely specific capacity to bridge obstacles faced by youth-centered social service agencies, such as the Foster Care system, as they assist children undergoing traumatic life challenges.
OYC’s EDEN Place Family Resource Center reinforces the Neat Stuff vision by establishing a broad wraparound service framework. This ensures dependable outreach and service connections for foster care communities, distressed families, and opportunity youth. It also strengthens Neat Stuff’s ability to identify the pathway toward community resources and accelerates the support children and families need to change the trajectory of their lives.
