Please join us in congratulating Jeanice Princess Escarment, a Honey Bug Alumna of Honey Shine Inc., as she prepares for the grand opening of her storefront shop, Princess Shop, in North Miami on January 20th 2022! With an entrepreneurial spirit that she garnered from her father, a Haitian Immigrant business owner, Jeanice is ready to take her on-line small business fashion and hair venture, which she started during the pandemic, to a brick and mortar store!
Jeanice is also currently pursuing a degree in criminal justice. Due to social justice barriers, equity gaps and seeing the injustice treatment of Black people, she hopes to use her degree in her community to create positive change with a dream of becoming a detective. While this is a long term goal, she is diligently working on both her business and degree to create change in the community she grew up in. Jeanice is no stranger to her strong work ethic as she was inspired by her schooling attending both Miami Union Academy and the Alonzo and Tracy Mourning’s Senior High School and our Overtown Youth and Honey Shine programs! Jeanice is the epitome of what our students strive for! Congratulations Jeanice!! We are so proud of your dedication and look forward to your store ribbon cutting in the new year!
