Mourning Family Foundation Holiday Party 2021

Mourning Family Foundation Holiday Party 2021

Mourning Family Foundation’s Annual Holiday party presented by Overtown Youth Center and Honey Shine Inc. was exactly what Santa and his Elves ordered! A jolly & festive event filled with holiday giving and all the extra holiday trimmings featured our incredibly talented students who performed a magical musical showcase! Plus, the warmth of donors, volunteers and staff made all the difference in our student’s experience as was evident by their contagious laughter and smiles that continuously inspire us all. And a special shout out to Ms. Tracy Mourning, founder of Honey Shine Inc., and featured MC who lit up the room.

This joyous event would not have been possible however, without the invaluable support of our community partners and supporters who brought the magic of the season and spread some holiday cheer with their holiday donations and volunteer hours. Thank you community partners for always empowering and uplifting our students and their families! Thank you for recognizing that our children are the most precious gift this holiday season. We value your support! Special mention to Gulfstream Park & team — Ray Briels, Joe Beja, Billy Badget, Giovanni Arias, Joe Lopez, Aaron Gryder, Greg Divincent, and Dana Libovitz, for donating the beautiful venue with the set up and dinner for nearly 500 of us.

One of the highlights of the event was made possible by UNKNWN who donated brand new sneakers for each student attending the party.  Other contributors who helped us bring the magic of the season to each student through their toy and cash donations were; Warren Henry, Bank of America, Little House Foundation , Artists Coming Through, LVMH, DTLR, Carbrain, Unitedhealthcare, Target, Raycon,  Amy Baldor, The Kraftsow Family, Rayna Mintz, Ceiliah Epner, Emilio Guerra, Andres Asion Foundation and Board Chairwoman Michelle Febres. Lastly, we would like to recognize our corporate partners who volunteered their time and efforts to help with sorting, organizing and packing; Best Buy, MDCPS Police, and Nike.
