Paying Homage to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Paying Homage to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Our youth had the privilege of visiting The Stone of Hope National monument that is located at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial in Washington, D.C., a statue that pays homage to the remarkable life, legacy and works of the iconic Civil Rights leader. Located in West Potomac Park in Washington, D.C., at 1964 Independence Ave., it references the year the Civil Rights Act of 1964 became law. King’s Memorial is the first to honor an African American individual on the National Mall.  The experience, which occurred during a previous College Tour, allowed our students to experience first-hand such an important landmark.

Service to others is at the core of our organization. We are inspired by Dr. King’s example and message, “Everybody can be great because everybody can serve.”!
