Young Future Business Leaders

We would like to congratulate our very own, Mikese Lovett, a Sophomore at Miami Edison Sr. High School, on being the first place recipient in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) competition District 24 in the field of data analysis. He will now compete at the state level. On January 19, students of Miami Edison Senior High’s chapter of FBLA won 14 awards in 12 categories at the Future Business Leaders of America District 24 Awards Ceremony. With over 500 members in attendance virtually, the awards ceremony was packed with excitement! Miami Edison had 22 members attend the ceremony with 14 of those members winning in their event! Currently, all of the award recipients are eligible to attend and compete at the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida. We are rooting for you Mikese!

Join us in congratulating Jayne Joseph, currently a Junior in Miami Edison High School who placed 2nd in the category of Business Calculations for District 24 – Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Competition. She will now compete at the state level against more than 200 students statewide! FBLA inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiments. On March 11, they will join more than 8,000 other FBLA members to compete, network, attend workshops, and hear from motivational speakers. According to its website, FBLA-PBL is the largest business career student organization in the world. FBLA helps high school students prepare for college and careers in business through academic competitions, leadership development, and educational programs. We are so proud of you! Best wishes, Jane!
