09 Feb Zedekiah Peacock Scholarship Launch
We feel humbled and honored to be part of the Celebration of Life at Booker T. Washington High School, for our former student, Zedekiah Peacock. Zedekiah was a beacon of light, a remarkable soul and talented musician who tragically lost his life to gun violence. This inspirational and charismatic young man touched the lives of many through his passion for music. The Overtown Youth Center is committed to continuing his legacy and love of music through the Zedekiah Peacock Music Scholarship Fund, which was started by Zedekiah’s resilient family.
The Zedekiah Peacock Music Scholarship Fund is intended to support students who have a passion for pursuing a career in music, like Zedekiah. The scholarship will also support students who need to purchase or repair musical instruments on their ongoing journey in music.
