06 Dec 33 Thanksgiving Drive
Alonzo Mourning, along with Overtown Youth Center staff, as well as dedicated volunteers participated in our annual Thanksgiving food drive; 33 Thanksgiving. This yearly event provides a full Thanksgiving meal participants in our program and others in the community. Held at Booker T. Washington Senior High School, this year’s food drive was sponsored by community partners RJKB Family Charitable Foundation, Publix, Celebration Title Group, Miami-Dade County Public Schools and United HealthCare. The event was also made possible thanks to the contribution of our dedicated volunteers from Bank of America, Hyatt, Best Buy, City of Miami and Americorps.
We are thankful for the entire OYC staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners that provided assistance for our Thanksgiving Drive, as they showed that giving thanks and giving back is what truly matters.
